VOLUNTEER COACHING ACADEMY

Thanks to grant funding from the Leslie Church Memorial Fund (through Northamptonshire Community Foundation), we're excited to offer three new VCAs over the next few months. This project will be a development of our popular Volunteer Coach Academies (VCAs) that we have previously delivered across the county. This grant will enable us to make employability skills and sports coaching accessible to individuals from underserved communities who may face challenges in accessing mainstream training opportunities, particularly in the sports industry, and would benefit from the supportive, flexible and accessible courses we deliver. We will empower participants to develop their confidence, employability and leadership skills, as well as seeking to benefit their overall wellbeing.

 

VCAs are a great way to learn more about sports coaching and help you to take your first steps to gaining a career in this sector. 

 

What we offer:

  • 1-2-1 follow-on support with your own dedicated mentor

Who we're looking for:

  • Young people aged 16-25

  • Northamptonshire residents only

  • No experience or qualifications necessary

  • Must be able to commit to the full in-person training day

  • Must be able to engage independently (with appropriate support measures if needed) with the training and work experience - we're happy to speak to you about any access needs you might have

 

Please note we cannot offer support with travel
