Volunteer Opportunities

We currently have a number of volunteer opportunities available.


Women’s Physical Performance Coach- We are looking for a dedicated & qualified Physical Performance Coach with experience in strength & conditioning to join our senior women’s team coaching staff.
The role requires candidates to be able:
1) To plan and deliver Physical Performance and injury prevention sessions the NTFC senior Women’s team.
2) To be available for pitch based support on Tuesday’s, Thursday’s and Match days (Sunday’s and potentially Wednesdays at times).

Matchday Volunteer- To assist in match day activities. Ranging from the use of inflatables, half time penalty shoot outs and fun football coaching. Ideal for 18+ who are looking for experience in coaching or in football organisation.
Start time from 11am - 3pm every home game. Will need to assist in laying out and returning equipment.

Befriending Volunteer - Supporting on our Tackling Loneliness project, we are looking for a new befriending volunteer to support us with various activities such as making phone calls, joining in Facebook groups and providing content, becoming a ‘pen pal’ and doing ‘garden gate visits’. The Tackling Loneliness project is targeted at those over the age of 70 in order to help the older generation who may be feeling alone, especially in current circumstances.

Premier League Kicks Assistant Coach - Supporting on our new Premier League Kicks sessions we are looking for volunteers who are keen to coach and work with young people, some from challenging backgrounds. Applicants must be aged 18+ and willing to undergo CPD. No prior qualifications are needed and training can be provided for the right candidates. All applicants will need to complete an enhanced DBS. Please note these sessions are mainly held in the evenings in Northampton and Wellingborough.

Girls Elite Player Development Centre Assistant Coach - Our successful Girls Player Development Centre is designed to provide an opportunity for the girls to take the next step on the talent pathway whilst continuing to play for their grassroots clubs. Training takes place on a Tuesday night with matches during the half terms against other Elite Clubs across the Country. Your role will be to support the lead coach and we will help you progress within your own career. You will hold of minimum FA level 1 coaching in football qualification, an up to date first aid and safeguarding certificate. All applicants will need to provide proof of qualifications and also go through an enhanced DBS process.

Grassroots Coach

We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic grassroots coaches to expand our ever growing Womens & Girls club. Our teams play in the Northamptonshire Womens and Girls League and home games are played at Blisworth FC on a Saturday morning along with one training session per week. You will hold of minimum of FA level 1 coaching in football qualification, an up to date first aid and safeguarding certificate. All applicants will need to provide proof of qualifications and also go through an enhanced DBS process.

Wildcats Assistant Coach We currently run 2 successful Wildcats centres for girls at 5-11 wanting to get into football as part of the FA national initiative. We are due to set up our third centre in Northampton and are on the look out for fun energetic individuals to help support in these centres. No prior qualifications are needed and so this is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to develop their coaching skills alongside a professional coach. All applicants will need to provide proof of qualifications and also complete an enhanced DBS.

Disability Coach – Our successful Multi-Disabled football club is on the look out for new coaches for the 2020/21 season. With the club receiving charter standard status and over 100 players currently in the programme this club is a great hub for all players with a disability. We run teams from U10’s right through to Adult Male and Female only teams. Training is on a Friday night with games played within the BOBi League on Sundays throughout the year. You will hold of minimum of FA level 1 coaching in football qualification, an up to date first aid and safeguarding certificate. All applicants will need to provide proof of qualifications and also complete an enhanced DBS.
